XXII Rally Clásico Isla de Mallorca: When Mallorca Roars with History

Some events are celebrated.Others are experienced.

From March 6 to 8, 2026, Mallorca once again becomes the European epicenter of historic motorsport. The XXII Rally Clásico Isla de Mallorca arrives with a record-breaking 106 teams from 14 countries, confirming its status as one of the Mediterranean’s most prestigious classic rallies.

Known as The Pearl of the Rallies, this year’s edition raises the bar both competitively and internationally.

More Than Distance — Pure Emotion

The 2026 edition expands to 15 timed stages, covering more than 500 kilometers, with 170 km of closed-road competition.

The rally opens with thrilling night stages before reaching one of its most anticipated highlights: the legendary climb to Sa Calobra, widely considered one of Europe’s most spectacular and technical mountain roads.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage site, each stage becomes a fusion of precision driving and breathtaking scenery.

The rally’s heart beats in Puerto Portals, its permanent base for the past 14 years, where the parc fermé, start ceremonies, and prize giving take place in one of the Mediterranean’s most exclusive settings.

Every corner demands focus.

Every stage tests character.

Every finish line tells a story.

A Rolling Automotive Museum

With an average vehicle age of 40 years and 25 different marques represented, the rally is a moving exhibition of automotive heritage.

Highlights include:

  • BMW 328 Roadster (1939) – the oldest competing vehicle

  • Ferrari 348 Challenge

  • Porsche APAL (1963)

  • Ferrari New Stratos

  • Former WRC icons such as the Lancia Delta Integrale HF, Subaru Impreza WRC, Peugeot 306 Maxi, and Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VI ex–Tommi Mäkinen

This is not simply competition. It is history in motion.

The Global Star: Romain Dumas

The headline name of the 2026 edition is French racing legend Romain Dumas.

A three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and FIA World Endurance Champion, Dumas brings elite international prestige to Mallorca. He will compete in a Peugeot 306 Maxi (1997), one of the most iconic cars of the Kit Car era.

His participation elevates not only the competitive level but also the global visibility of the event.

Sharing the road with a driver of his caliber makes this edition truly exceptional.

Innovation Meets Tradition

For the first time, Sa Calobra will also be raced virtually.

In collaboration with SimRacing, a nationwide digital competition — Rally Spring Clásico Mallorca — will allow motorsport enthusiasts across Spain to experience the rally’s most legendary stage from their own simulators.

The initiative launches with a symbolic duel between Romain Dumas and Spanish sim racing champion Mike Coll, blending classic heritage with modern innovation.

Tradition and technology.

Classic spirit, digital reach.

Mallorca at its finest.

Beyond Motorsport

For three days, Puerto Portals becomes a meeting point for collectors, enthusiasts, and international visitors who appreciate craftsmanship, history, and refined lifestyle.

The Rally Clásico Isla de Mallorca is more than a sporting event — it is a powerful showcase of the island’s ability to host world-class experiences, attracting a sophisticated international audience linked to performance, culture, and premium tourism.

Where Motorsport Meets Lifestyle

Events of this caliber do not happen by coincidence.

Mallorca offers more than scenic roads. It offers privacy, climate, stability, international connectivity, and an exceptional quality of life.

Many visitors first arrive for the rally — and later discover something deeper: a destination where investing, owning a second residence, or relocating becomes not just a financial decision, but an emotional one.

Just like in rally driving, success depends on choosing the right line.

And in Mallorca, the journey begins long before the first corner.
